One dead in shooting at Sumner Motor Inn

One man is dead and three more are wounded following an apparent shooting at the Sumner Motor Inn early Sunday morning.
Sumner Police responded at 12:32 a.m. after dispatch received a report of shots fired. Officers found a 23-year-old man dead at the scene, of apparent gun shot wounds. Three more men in the room had been injured by gunfire. One man had been shot in his leg, one in his arm and abdomen, and the third in the abdomen. The third man's injuries were life-threatening, and he was in surgery as of 4:42 a.m. Sunday.
East Pierce Fire and Rescue transported all three surviving victims to Tacoma General. Sumner police and the Pierce County Metro Crime Response Unit continue to investigate the incident.
