The first baby of the new year is celebrated annually at the local hospital and 2013 was no different at St. Elizabeth.

The wait wasn’t long, as parents Sierra McCleery and Zackery McCarthy welcomed their baby boy, Kayson Kash McCarthy, at 1:04 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

They gathered a few days later for this family photo, including 2-year-old brother Rylen.
