Enumclaw Rotary honors three as Students of the Month

Members of the Enumclaw Rotary Club recognized three Students of The Month during their Jan. 17 meeting.

Carly Hinman, daughter of Sharon and David Hinman of Enumclaw, was the recipient from Enumclaw High School. She has a 4.0 grade-point average and has participated in the National Honor Society, Key Club, Spanish Club, newspaper staff and is a four-year swim team member, serving as captain this year. She hopes to attend the University of Washington.

Chris Fisher, son of Celeste and Brian Fisher of South Prairie, was the recipient from White River High School. He has a 3.89 cumulative GPA while taking numerous AP classes. While in high school he has participated in both jazz and symphonic bands and is a scholar athlete on the varsity cross country and track teams. He plans on attending a four-year university to study engineering for a career in the renewable energy industry.

Emily Patterson, daughter of Tina and Michael Patterson of Wilkeson, was the recipient from Collins High School. She will graduate this month and hopes to attend either Green River Community College or Pierce College to continue her education. Her academic strengths have been in science and history. She has also volunteered on a number of school projects.
