The coming week at the KingnCounty Council | Jan. 28 - Feb. 1

Monday, January 28

Government Accountability and Oversight Committee – 11:00 a.m. ***Special Meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

·       A motion confirming the appointment of Linh Thai as a representative of the Vietnamese-speaking community to the King County Citizen’s Election Oversight Committee (Motion 2013-0038).

 

Metropolitan King County Council – 1:30 p.m.

--Councilmembers will hear public testimony during their monthly public comment period. Speakers will have two minutes to address Councilmembers on matters relating to county government.

 

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

·       An ordinance approving a new public health clinic lease to provide continuing public health services in the Renton area (Substitute Ordinance 2013-0011.2).

 

Tuesday, January 29

 

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

·       A motion expressing King County’s support for a shared regional vision for a growing, diversified, innovative and sustainable economy (Motion 2013-0035).

 

Law, Justice, Health and Human Services Committee – 1:30 p.m.

Discussion only:

·       An ordinance authorizing the approval of the Medic One/Emergency Medical Services 2014-2019 Strategic Plan (Ordinance 2013-0016).

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

·       An ordinance authorizing the execution of an interagency agreement between the County, city of Seattle and state of Washington for potential participation in a demonstration project of a financially integrated care model (Ordinance 2013-0037).

Wednesday, January 30

 

Committee of the Whole – 9:30 a.m. ***Special Meeting***

Discussion only:

·       A motion making an appointment to fill the vacancy in King County Council District 1 (Motion 2013-0055). Committee members will interview the three candidates submitted by the County Executive. No action will be taken.
