Dinner auction for preteen Buckley leukemia patient Thursday night

A spaghetti dinner benefit for leukemia patient Dylan Ellefson — a 12-year-old Buckley boy and junior wrestler — will take place Thursday evening at the Buckley Eagles Hall.

Ellefson was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2006, two months before his fifth birthday. After three years of treatment, he was deemed cancer free.

In April, an emergency room visit confirmed Ellefson's cancer had returned. He celebrated Easter and his 12th birthday from Mary Bridge Children's Hospital.

The dinner benefit begins at 6 p.m., to be followed by an auction at 7 p.m. The cost is $10 an individual plate and $40 for families.

The Eagles Hall is located at 29021 state Route 410 East in Buckley.
