Rookie top fuel driver Brittany Force catches fish at Pike Place Market Thursday as warmup to NHRA Northwest Nationals | Slideshow

Brittany Force visited Pike Place Market Thursday morning to do something a little different than her typical appearances -- she caught some fish.

Force, a rookie Top Fuel driver who is in town for the National Hot Rod Association's 26th Annual Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways near Covington, spent some time with the fish guys at the Pike Place Fish Market Thursday morning.

After receiving some tips on how to catch a flying fish at an angle from 10 feet away, Force caught the fish twice, impressing the crowd which gathered around the stall at the market.

Force, along with all the other Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and sportsman drivers in the NHRA, will race today and tomorrow. Pro classes will run two qualifying rounds today and go through elimination rounds Sunday to claim the Wally, the trophy handed out to the event champion, as well as points to as they jockey for position headed into the postseason, the Countdown to the Championship.
