.AN UPPER LOW NEAR THE NORTHERN CALIFORNIA COAST THIS MORNING
WILL SLOWLY LIFT NORTH JUST OFF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST COAST...
REACHING THE WASHINGTON COASTAL WATERS BY SUNDAY EVENING. THE LOW
CENTER WILL SUPPORT THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT OVER THE CASCADES AND
EASTERN OLYMPIC MOUNTAINS EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM FRIDAY
THROUGH SUNDAY. THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...EASTERLY STEERING FLOW
HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRING SCATTERED LIGHTNING WEST INTO THE PUGET
SOUND AND SOUTHWEST INTERIOR LOWLANDS AS WELL.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG
WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 11 PM PDT
SUNDAY. THE FIRE WEATHER WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* AFFECTED AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 657. THIS INCLUDES LOCATIONS
  IN KING AND PIERCE COUNTIES THAT ARE EAST OF I-5 AND BELOW
  1500 FEET ELEVATION.

* THUNDERSTORMS...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
  DEVELOP OVER THE CASCADES EACH AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM
  TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY...POSSIBLY SPREADING OFF THE CASCADES
  INTO THE LOWLANDS OF EASTERN KING AND PIERCE COUNTIES.

* WIND...THUNDERSTORMS OFTEN PRODUCE GUSTY AND ERRATIC WINDS.
  THE STRONGEST WIND GUSTS ARE TYPICALLY AT THE LEADING EDGE OF
  A THUNDERSTORM.

* IMPACTS...SCATTERED LIGHTNING IN DRY FUELS CAN CAUSE MULTIPLE
  FIRE STARTS.

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. SCATTERED LIGHTNING IN
DRY FUELS CAN CONTRIBUTE TO MULTIPLE FIRE STARTS...ALONG WITH
ERRATIC AND GUSTY WINDS. FIREFIGHTING AGENCIES WILL WANT TO PLAN
