Department of Revenue free construction workshops

During October, the Washington State Department of Revenue is sponsoring a series of free, two-hour construction industry tax workshops throughout the state. These workshops will make reporting easier for you to understand the state taxes that apply to contractors. You will also gain tools to correct problems and avoid penalties.

Topics covered during the workshops include: Sales tax, itemized billings, reseller permits, spec. versus custom building, refunds, construction management, and some of the most common reporting errors for contractors. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask specific questions that apply to their businesses. Workshops will be held in the following locations:


Tuesday, Oct. 08 – Spokane
