Stan McCall chosen to fill fire Fire District 28 commission vacancy

Fire District 28 is back up to full force with the appointment of Stan McCall to fill position No. 3.

The King County Council appointed McCall Dec. 9.

The commission has three members, Dave Hannity, Angie Stubblefield and McCall.

A Citizens Advisory Panel unanimously selected McCall Dec. 3 following an public interview process of five candidates.

The members of the panel were Rep. Chris Hurst, Enumclaw Mayor Liz Reynolds, fire commissioners Hannity and Stubblefield and IAFF Local 3931 president and firefighter John Bloomer.

McCall said during the interview he works as a police officer for the city of Federal Way and has lived in Enumclaw for 20 years.

Former Commissioner Chris Ingham resigned his position June 10, creating the vacancy.

About a month later, former Commissioner Ryan Terhune was injured during an off-road motorcycle accident in Idaho. The commission was down to one member, Hannity. The King County Council appointed Larry Jensen who served until the November general election when Angie Stubblefield won over Elbert Reed.

McCall will finish the final two years of Ingham’s term.
