Mid-day power outage across Plateau

A power outage about 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at a Puget Sound Energy substation in Enumclaw caused 4,000 customers to go without power for about 90 minutes.

The outage affected customer in Enumclaw and across the Plateau.

According PSE spokesman Dennis Smedsrud the outage was caused, “ by a load anomaly. We'll figure out what caused it and correct the problem.”

Smedsrud said PSE workers were able to fix the problem temporarily until the cause can be found and corrected.

Power was restored at about 2:30 p.m.
