Recycle trees and storm green debris

Following the recent windstorm and Christmas, many residents have tree debris to recycle.
The City of Bonney Lake is allowing city residents to bring their tree-storm debris to ball field four across from Allan Yorke Park.
Assistant Public Works Director Rick Shannon said the site will be open for residents every day from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through Jan. 7, except New Years' Day.
City crews are also working their way through the city from north to south picking up debris on streets.
Shannon said he expects the job to take about two weeks.
The city is asking residents to not bring Christmas trees to the storm-debris site.
Christmas trees can be cut up and placed in yardwaste containers for residents with that service. The trees can also be taken to the county transfer station and recycled free of charge.
In the Plateau area the Prairie Ridge Transfer Station is located at Prairie Ridge Drive East and South Prairie Road and is open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. daily except New Years' Day.
Residents can also bring storm debris to the transfer station for free through Jan. 21.
