Bonney Lake's first community egg and candy hunt is ready to roll.
The fun begins at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cedarview Park, located at 208th Avenue East and 93 Street East.
According to Community Services Director Gary Leaf the city kicked in $400, which was approved by Mayor Neil Johnson. Wal-mart added another $50 donation.
The event is free, but Leaf said candy donations will be accepted at City Hall or at the park Saturday.
“This is a city sponsored event along with the Cedarview Park community and it's for the whole area,” Leaf said. “The neighbors know the good hiding spots so this should be a lot of fun.”
Plastic eggs will be filled with candy and/or toys and hidden around the park.
There will be two separate areas - one for kids 1 to 6 years old and another area for older kids.
