Hot cars on the way

Street rods, cruisers, motorcycles, customs and hot rods will grace downtown Enumclaw Saturday as The Stratocruisers Street Rod and Collectable Car Club stages the fourth annual Cruise Into Fall Car Show.
The show is open for all "pre-1981" cars, trucks, motorcycles, customs and street rods and there will be a special "Under 21" class for all high school age and young adult car owners.
The show runs right down Cole Street through the center of town from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with registration and set up beginning at 8 am. Dash plaques and goodie bags are available for the first 200 who register. The entrance fee is $15 per vehicle.
Visitors will get to vote for the car they like best and see who gets the other awards (like best "grocery getter" or the car most likely to outrun the Enumclaw police).
Speaking of the Enumclaw Police Department, this year they will have a cruiser on site. The Enumclaw Fire Department will also be there with a live demonstration of a simulated automobile accident and extraction where they will demonstrate and explain the use of all their specialized tools, like the Jaws of Life.
Richard Dean, from Seattle, will provide entertainment. There will be a raffle with many prizes. All raffle proceeds, and any from the car show, are being donated to local charities.
