The Salvation Army is offering gasoline vouchers, propane vouchers, rental assistance and other essentials to families, seniors and disabled persons with urgent and immediate needs in Black Diamond and the surrounding area.

Also, the center is offering to pay up to $150 of final notices from Puget Sound Energy on natural gas and electrical bills.

The Black Diamond Community Center, open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, also has an emergency food and clothing bank for those finding themselves short on funds.

Those having problems paying their energy costs need to call 360-886-1011 and set up an appointment, while those requiring food or clothing can drop by the community center during normal business hours without making an appointment.
