Editor's note: The following is a press release issued Thursday morning by Enumclaw Mayor John Wise. A full story will appear in the April 29 edition of The Courier-Herald.

I am announcing my decision to run for re-election as mayor of Enumclaw.

I want to continue the momentum to move Enumclaw forward. I have shown leadership and have the energy and time to complete the vision for Enumclaw. I have established the relationships needed to be successful with funding projects from federal, state and county legislators. I will continue to work on our existing projects such as improving our streets, signage, economic development, business support, public safety, stadium improvement, community center design, and tourism.

Thank you to the citizens of Enumclaw for their support in the past eight years and I hope I can count on it for the next four.

John Wise, mayor
