Sheryl Pulfrey helps one of the attendees at the annual holiday celebration Saturday choose from the trays of cookies on display. Every year, Pulfrey bakes all of the cookies for the free event, sponsored by the Bonney Lake Kiwanis and held at the Public Safety Building. This year, she made a record 1,300 cookies of all varieties. The festivities began with Mayor Bob Young lighting the tree outside. Soon after, Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived on a fire truck. The jolly couple went straight to work, taking Christmas wishes and pictures while the choirs from Victor Falls Elementary and Liberty Ridge Elementary sang holiday songs for the nearly 300 people in attendance.
