Carbonado man stabbed; wounds not life threatening

A 23-year-old Carbonado man was stabbed outside a Carbonado residence Nov. 25.
Buckley police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 800 block of 8th Avenue. When they arrived, the man was receiving medical attention from witnesses at the scene, and the suspect was seen walking away.
A knife with a four-inch fold-out blade was found in the grass nearby, after the suspect, a 33-year-old SeaTac man, told police he threw it away.
Police arrested him, and he was later charged with first-degree assault with a deadly weapon.
According to a Buckley police report, witnesses said the two men were said to be arguing at the residence. The victim went inside the house and got a knife when he thought the suspect had something in his hand. The victim threw the knife away, and the two continued arguing and fighting physically, when the stabbing occurred. The victim's knife was found nearby.
The victim was taken to Tacoma General Hospital, and Buckley Det. Jim Osborn, who interviewed the victim, said his wounds were not life threatening.
The man had sustained three knife wounsd, one in the upper arm, one in the left chest area and one on the left thumb.
As of Monday, Osborn was not sure if the victim had been released from the hospital.
