A short stretch of the Green River turned yellow Saturday morning as hundreds of small, rubber ducks floated through Flaming Geyser State Park.

As the first ducks reached the finish line, they brought prizes for those who had bought ducks as part of the annual fund raiser sponsored by the Enumclaw Community Hospital Foundation and local Rotary Club. The two groups split the profits, about $7,200 for each.

Winner of the Foundation race was Chase Manhattan Mortgage. The winner's name goes on a traveling trophy and the winner gets to display the trophy until the following year.

Individual winners, and their prizes, were:

€ Stuart Jones, $1,000 cash.

€ Betty Puttman, $500 gift certificate to Enumclaw Golf Course.

€ Pamela Goorsuch, an ocean getaway valued at $500.

€ Don and Kathy Birdsell, a "day of beauty" at a Gene Juarez salon.

€ Dr. Ralph Zech, four symphony tickets and dinner.

€ Bob and Linda Tibeau, Weber gas barbecue.

€ Markus and Mia Fornelius, weekend rental of a PT Cruiser and picnic.

€ Marsha McLean, portrait sitting and package from O'Brien Photography.

€ Jenny Moller, $250 gift certificate to the El Gaucho Restaurant on Tacoma's waterfront.

€ Shelly and Peggy Thiel, one-year membership to The Club and $100 gift certificate for spa services at Holistique Spa.
