An annual charitable effort in Enumclaw is the stuffing of backpacks for children from needy homes. Monday morning, kids from the Youth Center teamed with volunteers from the Enumclaw Senior Activity Center to fill backpacks. Above, Lila Hirschkorn helps fill a pack; between 200 and 300 were prepared and were to be distributed this morning (Wednesday) at the Youth Center. Aside from school supplies, the packs include a certificate for a pair of shoes.
