There's still time to purchase a rubber duck - or a family, or perhaps an entire flock - and help Enumclaw Community Hospital and the local Rotary Club fund their worthy projects.

The duck race is an annual event, sponsored by the Hospital Foundation and Rotarians. This year's event will begin at 10:30 a.m., Sept. 6, again at Flaming Geyser State Park.

This year's grand prize winner will claim $1,000 and there are a variety of other prizes to be awarded. Ducks cost $5 each and must be purchased by Sept. 3.

The hospital will use its share of the money for newborn hearing testing equipment.

For information about the fund raiser, call the Enumclaw Community Hospital Foundation at 360-802-3206.
