Library program looks at Mehndi art form

Discover the fascinating body art of Mehndi at the Buckley Library, 123 S. River Ave., at 1 p.m. July 21. Mehndi was originally a special occasion decoration in India, Africa and Asia but became popular in the West in the 1990s.

Henna tattoo artist Krysteen Lomonaco will help patrons decorate themselves with a beautiful, natural and temporary tattoo. There is no charge, but registration is required. A signed parental permission form is necessary for teens. For information, call 360-829-0300.
