Skate contest is Saturday

The Buckley Youth Activity Center will host a skate competition at the adjacent Buckley Skate Park beginning at noon Saturday.

The admission fee to view the competition is either $2 or a can of food to be donated to the local food bank.

Registration for participants begins at 11 a.m. the day of the event and all contestants must wear a helmet to be eligible. The three levels of competition will be beginner, intermediate and advanced and there will be prizes, food and music.
