Pierce County Fair opens Thursday

The Pierce County Association will celebrate the 62nd annual Piece County Fair Thursday through Saturday at Frontier Park in Graham.
This year’s fair theme is “Have A Wooly Good Time in 2009.”
Once inside the gate, there are plenty of scheduled activities like shows and performances; displays like the floral show, commercial displays, 4-H and FFA competitions, food booths, games and carnival rides.
Also, there’s plenty of live entertainment. Scheduled to appear are Jeff Evans (magician), Danny Vernon (Illusion of Elvis), DeLuxe Reverb (classic rock), Cherokee (traditional country) and The Adventures (Ventures tribute band).
Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 15 and $3 for seniors; parking is $5. A $50 fee will be charged for campers.
