Dairy women preparing for annual contest

The King-Pierce County Dairy Women will meet at noon today, Wednesday, at The Kettle Restaurant in Enumclaw.

Members will be planning this year’s Dairy Ambassador contest. All are urged to provide names of young ladies that would be eligible to run for dairy princess. The contest will be this spring, but a date has not been chosen.

Applications will be available for the Washington state Dairy women’s Scholarship, Washington State University Scholarship and Western Stockmen’s and Simplot Cattle Feeding scholarships. Applicants must be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate level student and enrolled full-time at a community college or university for the 2010-11 academic year.

Also, the Dairy Women’s cookbook, titled “Udderly Delightful Recipes,” is on sale for $10.
