DUI: At 7:20 a.m. March 21, near the Mason Avenue segment of state Route 410, a 21-year-old man was charged with driving under the influence after his car drifted off the road and hit a power pole. He was not injured and there were no passengers.

POSSESSION: At 3:06 p.m. March 21, a 38-year-old man was found passed out in his car. The contacting officer could smell the strong odor of marijuana and could see a plastic baggie with green vegetable matter on the dash. The man was charged with possession of less than 40 grams of marijuana and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: At 12:02 a.m. March 24, an officer stopped a vehicle for a defective headlight at the 28200 block of SR 410. A Department of Licensing check showed the driver to be driving on a suspended license. The driver was issued a notice of infraction plus criminal citation and released on scene.

AGENCY WARRANT: A 22-year-old male was arrested in the Buckley Police Department at 12:53 p.m. on March 26 after it was determined he was wanted on five Pierce County warrants. The young man was visiting the station to pick up some property. The warrants out of Pierce totaled $87,500. He was transferred into the custody of a sheriff’s deputy.

PUBLIC INDECENCY: Shortly after midnight on March 28, a 21-year-old man was contacted by an officer for urinating in puclic at the 29200 block of SR 410. He was issued a citation for a violation of the Buckley code and released on location.
