Dinner fundraiser set to help restore Enumclaw Danish Hall
May 25, 2010 · Updated 10:56 AM
The Friends of the Enumclaw Danish Hall continue their effort to save the historic hall on Porter Street with a fundraising dinner June 12.
The first effort came last year and, by popular demand, the same traditional Danish menu will be offered this time around. Those attending will dine on pickled herring, rye bread, frikadeller (Danish meatballs), red cabbage, potatoes and gravy, dessert and coffee, beer and wine.
The cost is $35 per person. Checks are payable to Enumclaw Danish Sisterhood Lodge 75 and can be mailed to Frank Poulsen, 13616 116th Ave. N.E., Kirkland, Wash. 98034. Organizers are also accepting donations to help save the hall.
The event is billed as “Reminisce and Restore II,” and celebrates the only remaining Danish hall in the Pacific Northwest District.
