Black Diamond offers youth trips

During the summer, the Black Diamond Before and After School Kids program will offer library trips Mondays, crafts Tuesdays, field trips Wednesdays, science projects Thursdays and water play as weather permits.
The Black Diamond Community Center’s summer program is designed to keep children’s minds sharp during the summer months. At the end of summer, there will be a barbecue at Mud Mountain Dam.
Registration is being taken for BASK’s upcoming field trips. The cost is $26 for a full day and $13.50 for half days. Admission will be charged for three of the trips.
The trips are as follows:
Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 7, $8 per child; picnic at Lake Wilderness, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 21; Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4, free tickets for children; Point Defiance Zoo in Tacoma, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 11, $11 per child; Black Diamond Week, trips will investigate different parts of Black Diamond Aug. 16 to 20 with a trip to the museum Aug. 19; Family picnic at Mud Mountain Dam, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 25.
