Several districts boast academy graduates

The month of June saw new recruits line up on White River School District annex’s stage to be welcomed into the ranks of firefighters.

Family and friends packed the seats and stood in the aisles to watch as 31 recruits received their badges at the 2010 Volunteer Firefighter Basic Recruit Academy graduation.

The graduates are:

Buckley Fire Department: Kyle Ferguson, Jordan Kerrigan, Shay LaMarsh, Josh McCutchen, Gavin Peck, Lucas Ross, Brennan Sallstrom and Kyla Wytko.

East Pierce Fire and Rescue: Anthoney Barker, Kady Bieber, Ben Burke, Justin Carlo, David Fuhrmann, Micah Hammond, Kristin Harbert, Jeffrey Loa, Matthew Ostrander, Nick Rimbey and Josh Rohm.

King County Fire Department 28/Enumclaw Fire: Tyler Hawkins, Andrea Huizenga, Steven Lentz, Jared McLain, Anthony Molieri, Evan Orcutt, Luke Racey and Darius Vaitkus.

Pierce County Fire Department 26: Kyle Volberding.

Riverside Fire and Rescue: Rafael Burruel, Caitlin Corey and Anthony Marsh.
