For those looking for a free and fun-filled afternoon, the Buckley Fire Department, Wally’s White River Drive-In and Buckley Automotive and Muffler offers the 21st annual Flashback show Saturday at the Buckley Log Show Grounds.

Registration, which is open to street rods, antique, classic, customs and motorcycles, can be achieved by picking up registration forms in advance at nearly any Buckley business and mailing them, along with the $15 entry fee, to Buckley Firefighter’s Association, P.O. Box 1015, Buckley, 98321.

Meanwhile, registration on the day of the big event itself gets under way at 8 a.m.

In addition to seeing some of the area’s flashiest, customized, chromed-up rides, rods and rigs on display, the fire department chefs will be serving up breakfast and lunch.

Friday night, Wally’s drive-in will feature a 1950s and ‘60s-style hot rod and classic rendezvous and will be awarding prizes for the hottest looking flame jobs, most substantial tail fins and most impressive classic or antique vehicle, with original equipment, just to name a few in the myriad of categories.
