A ‘pane’ for drivers

A truck carrying glass set for recycling rolled on its side blocking 182nd Avenue East in Bonney Lake.

Workers in Bonney Lake are cleaning up the scene of an accident in which a truck carrying a load of glass set for recycling rolled on to its side, blocking 182nd Avenue East in Bonney Lake for several hours.

No one was injured in the accident.

According to police, the truck, owned by H&A Transer in Sumner, lost power heading up the hill and began to roll backwards. The truck rolled onto the side of the road and into a ditch forcing the truck on its side.

The truck’s load of glass destined for recycling dumped across the road and fuel and oil leaked from the truck.

Workers used multiple chains attached to a tow truck and a backhoe to right the vehicle.

Police said the road should be open by the afternoon commute.
