The Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation will host its fourth Community Health Summit from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 1 at Thunder Mountain Middle School in Enumclaw.

This is an opportunity to learn about community healthcare needs and receive updates on the Plateau’s drug and alcohol task force, the recently-formed mental health task force, access to information and LINCCK.

“There are some great things happening in our community in support of making it a healthier place to live,” ERHF Foundation Executive Director René Popke said.

The Summit is also the kick-off of Rachel’s Challenge in the community.

Rachel Scott was the first person killed in the Columbine High School tragedy. She left behind an amazing legacy and a simple challenge to communities who will accept and treat others with kindness and compassion. Through simple acts of kindness, Scott believed the world could be changed.

Lunch and refreshments will be served.
