In an effort to reach more citizens in more ways, the city of Bonney Lake this week announced the launch of a pair of Twitter accounts dedicated to city information.

Residents can now follow @CityBonneyLake for general updates and @BLPoliceDept for announcements and alerts posted directly by the police department.

The city considers social media sites, including the city blog, Facebook (@CityBonneyLake) and Twitter feeds, to provide another means to drive traffic to the city’s website. which remains the primary source of information from the city of Bonney Lake.
