Members of the Bonney Lake Elementary School Viking Choir performed and the Kiwanis Club provided the cookies at the annual Tree Lighting Celebration Dec. 1 at the Public Safety Building.

This year, a fifth-grader lit the tree and the lights along Main Street, continuing the mayor’s tariditon of letting one of the students plug in the lights after a countdown.

At the end of the evening, Santa arrived via an East Pierce Fire and Rescue truck and posed for pictures with all the boys and girls in attendance.
