Buckley police reports May 31-June 6

OVERDOSE: Officers were dispatched to Main Street to assist medical aid with a possible overdose that took place on May 31 shortly before 10 p.m. A 39-year-old man from Buckley was contacted and medical workers transported him to the hospital for taking non-prescribed painkillers for a back injury.

BURGLARY: Persons unknown entered Glacier Middle School sometime June 1, spreading condiments on the seats, stage and floors of the auditorium. School staff wanted to report the incident before cleaning the mess.

DUI: On June 4 half-past midnight, an officer observed a vehicle traveling faster than the posted speed limit in the 29200 block of state Route 410. The officer stopped the vehicle and detected an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. The driver performed some tests and it was decided he was driving the vehicle while impaired by intoxicants before he was placed under arrest.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT: On June 4 shortly after 2 a.m., multiple officers were dispatched to a South Division Street address to respond to a domestic violence incident that had already occurred. The victim stated her boyfriend had struck her and fled the scene. Officers checked the area with no result, but the reporting officer was able to establish contact by cell phone. The suspect turned himself in at the police station before being arrested.

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED: On June 6 at 8:37 p.m. a 49-year-old man from Covington was stopped for a moving violation and found to be driving on a suspended license. The male was arrested, issued an infraction and citation and released.
