Buckley police reports Sept. 22-24

DRIVING WHILE LICENSE SUSPENDED: Shortly after midnight Sept. 22, an officer stopped a vehicle on Park Avenue for a defective license plate light. A Department of Licensing check on the driver showed her license was suspended. She was issued a notice of infraction and a criminal citation before being released.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: At 4:04 a.m. Sept. 23, an officer was dispatched to a 3rd Street residence for a possible fight. On contact, everyone in the house stated the fight was purely verbal. A male participant had already left. The officer cleared with no arrests.

DUI: An officer was dispatched to a Division Street vehicle collision at 12:50 a.m. Sept. 24. A power utility pole had been struck by a vehicle driven by a “very intoxicated” man. The man was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

DON’T TEXT AND BIKE: A bicycle crashed into a car on Park Avenue at 6:18 p.m. Sept. 24. A 16-year-old boy told an officer that he was texting while riding his bike when he collided with a parked vehicle. The left tail lamp was broken in the accident, but the boy was not injured. His mother arrived a short time later and exchanged information with the vehicle owner.

WANDERING NEAR TRAFFIC: An officer was returning from an assisting call to Enumclaw when he spotted an apparently intoxicated male in the state Route 410 roadway. The officer gave the man a lift to an address in Enumclaw out of harm’s way.
