City gallery seeks artists for exhibit

The city of Enumclaw is seeking visual artists to exhibit two- and three-dimensional, original works of art at City Hall Gallery 2010 and Green River Community College Enumclaw Campus Gallery.

Artists should include the date they prefer for exhibition, and if their work would be available for a January 2010 exhibit. All work submitted will be reviewed by the Arts Commission for inclusion in the exhibit schedule.

A total of 11 exhibitions will be scheduled for City Hall in 2009. Each exhibition will be displayed for approximately four weeks. One exhibit will be a special equestrian-oriented show mounted in the last half of the year.

Artists exhibiting at Green River will be featured in three separate one person or group shows during the year.

Artists represented in all exhibits are responsible for installation, labels, text and sales. Openings will be the responsibility of the artist.

The Green River Gallery and the City Hall Gallery 2010 each have a glass display case in which small sculptures, pottery, jewelry and similar items can be displayed. Those exhibits will vary in length depending on the interests of the artist and availability of space. Please submit information and an interest to exhibit in the glass case display.

Materials to submit: Eight photographs of work, no actual artwork. Each photograph must be labeled with artist’s name, title of piece, size and media, and TOP of the image must be clearly marked. Electronic images can be emailed to: garylaturner@ci.enumclaw.wa.us. An annotated list, self-addressed, stamped return envelope and resume or artist statement and list of past exhibits should also be included.

Please Submit Materials to Enumclaw Cultural Programs Coordinator, 1339 Griffin Ave., Enumclaw, 98022.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 6.
