Every year, hundreds of conscientious people deck themselves out in pink and head to Sumner to save busts and lives.

Last year, the Come Walk With Me breast cancer fundraiser set a record with more than 500 women, men and children in attendance to walk the 5K and raise cash.

The event raises funds for MultiCare’s free and reduced fee mammography program, community education, and outreach to diagnosed breast cancer patients.

Don’t like walking? Just want to ride your hog all day? Well, Multicare also hosts a Come Ride With Me motorcycle event; same time, same place.

You can still register early online through tomorrow, Oct. 3, but day-of registration will be available at the Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse starting at 7:30 a.m. Early registration check-in begins at 8 a.m. The Motorcycle Ride and the 5K walk begin at 8:50 a.m. and 9 a.m., respectively.

Early registration fees are $20 for adults (people 13 and older), $10 for youth 5- to 12-years-old, free for kids 4-years-old and younger. Day-of registration is $30 for adults, $15 for youth.

If you want to help fundraise, donations are payable to Good Samaritan Foundation, and can be mailed to:
