Convicted Sound Doctrine pastor seeks new trial, judge denies request

Convicted Enumclaw pastor Malcolm Fraser appeared in King County Superior Court again Tuesday morning. Fraser spoke before Judge Lori K. Smith as he and his defense team had filed a formal "motion to arrest judgement" and asked for a new trial. The judge denied the request.

Fraser, who had served as assistant pastor for Sound Doctrine Church, was convicted of two counts of first-degree rape of a child and two counts of first-degree child molestation.

He is to be sentenced Friday.
