The Revs. Leon Huerta-Moore and wife Stacey Huerta-Moore want the community to know everyone is welcome in their congregation at Restoration Christian Center.

The church’s mission statement on its Web site is to “bring healing and restoration to everyone who is in need” and since opening the center in July the husband-and-wife team has branched out by participating in Sumner events and lending a helping hand with organizations and events.

The pastors hosted the prayer service at this year’s Relay for Life event and help with the Sumner Food Bank to maintain a supply of food items for the community.

Leon said among the church’s activities are Bible study programs. One is a women’s Bible study group and another is home Bible studies. The home Bible study group meets Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. The study groups meet at a different home each week and he said anyone interested in participating may call for details.

Restoration Christian Center gathers at Maple Lawn Elementary at 230 Wood Ave. in Sumner. For more information visit www.liverestored.com or call Leon and Stacey Huerta-Moore at 253-327-5119.
