UNDER THE INFLUENCE: After witnessing multiple violations, police stopped a car at 11:13 p.m. July 11 in the area of 112th Street and state Route 165. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Tacoma, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested, issued a criminal citation and released from custody.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Reports of a domestic dispute had officers responding to a Coul Avenue apartment shortly before midnight July 10. A woman at the scene said her husband had punched her in the face 15 times. Officers determined there had been an assault so the husband was arrested and booked into the SCORE jail in Des Moines.

DRUNK DRIVER: After observing a vehicle make several lane violations on state Route 410, officers pulled over a driver at 11:39 p.m July 10. They found the motorist, a 55-year-old Buckley woman, was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and released without incident.

IN THE DITCH: Police were dispatched at 10:21 p.m. July 9 to a Hinkleman Road location following reports of a vehicle in the ditch. The driver said he had pulled over to look at his phone and went into the ditch. Police detected no impairment or damage to the vehicle. At the owner’s request, a tow truck was called.
