EXTRA PATROL: Police took a request Nov. 5 from the Kibler Elementary principal, who asked for additional patrol in the three areas where there are student crossing guards. The report indicated there had been several occasions during the previous week where drivers ignored the students’ commands to stop, driving too fast.

WELFARE CHECK: Officers were called the morning of Nov. 5 to check on the welfare of an individual at a Lafromboise Street address. The visit resulted on one person arrested and booked for domestic violence assault. Information was provided to the victim.

NO CAMPING: An officer on patrol at 1:13 a.m. Nov. 5 spotted a suspicious vehicle on Battersby Avenue. Contact was made and a person was advised of the city’s rules regarding camping.

PROWLING: Police heard of two vehicle prowls occurring during the early-morning hours of Nov. 5. An incident on Sun Mountain Drive resulted in no vehicle damage, with nothing taken. An incident on Wallace Avenue resulted in the theft of a pair of Oakley sunglasses and a drill, battery and charger; the missing items were valued at $460.
