Work on the new eastbound Nalley Valley viaduct will require that eastbound State Route 16 and the Union Avenue on-ramp to close over four nights.

Work on the new eastbound Nalley Valley viaduct will require that eastbound State Route 16 and the Union Avenue on-ramp to close over four nights.

At 11 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, Dec.16 to 19, crews will close all lanes of eastbound SR 16 at Union Avenue. They will also close the Union Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR 16. The ramp and roadway will reopen by 4 a.m. each following morning.

The night closures are needed as crews prepare to shift traffic onto the new eastbound SR 16 Nalley Valley viaduct. The work involves grinding pavement, paving and installing sign bridges.

This work is part of the I-5/SR 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley project, which replaces the original structure and completes the SR 16/Sprague Avenue interchange.
