Two Bonney Lake Elementary students were given the Viking award for being good citizens.

The boys reported two junior high-age boys were walking down the bus loop and spoke to several students playing on the playground.

The junior high-age boys were talking to the students through a chain-link fence.

The two Bonney Lake Elementary students reported the incident to an adult playground monitor.

The school reported at no time were any students in danger.

School Resource Officer Rob Kearney and Bonney Lake Elementary Principal Susan Black presented the award to the students.
