Nov. 23

Shoplifting: Officers responded to the report of a shoplifter in custody, accompanied by her two young children, at a state Route 410 retail store. She was issued a citation for theft in the third degree and trespassed from the store before release.

Warrant: An officer conducted a traffic stop when he noticed a vehicle with modified exhaust. The driver was found to possess a misdemeanor warrant for arrest and was in possession of what appeared to be marijuana oil. He was arrested for the warrant and issued a criminal citation for possession.

Nov. 24

Stolen Cash: A woman reported she inadvertently left her purse at a SR 410 establishment. She located it inside the facility’s restroom but several hundred dollars in cash had been stolen from it. There was no suspect information at the time of report.

Nov. 25

Hit and Run: A person reported a hit and run in a SR 410 parking lot, at approximately 1 p.m. The reporting person recorded the subject’s license plate number and officers contacted him at his residence. There were no injuries and the subject was issued a criminal citation for hit and run.

Nov. 27

Domestic Violence: Officers responded to a domestic violence report called in by a neighbor, shortly before 6 p.m. The victim said his wife hit him on the head with a grocery bag containing a glass bottle and metal can. She also slammed a door on the arm of one of their children, in an effort to prevent him from leaving. She was arrested for assault in the fourth degree and issued no contact orders against her husband and child.

Nov. 28

Under the Influence: Officers witnessed a vehicle driving erratically while wrapping up an unrelated traffic stop on SR 410. Upon contact, the driver was determined to be intoxicated. He was placed under arrest for driving under the influence and transported to Puyallup jail.

Warrant: An officer pulled over a speeding vehicle on Veterans Memorial Drive. A records check revealed the driver had a suspended license and a Puyallup warrant for theft in the third degree. He was arrested and  the vehicle was towed.

Suspicious Pedestrian: An officer noticed a pedestrian acting suspiciously near closed businesses. Upon contact, the subject was found to possess three warrants and was taken into custody without incident.

Lost Wallet: A person called to report their wallet was either lost or stolen while in the parking lot of a Bonney Lake grocery store. The responding officer advised the reporting person conduct a thorough credit check and follow up to find out if the wallet is turned in.

Nov. 29

Illegible License Plate: A patrol officer on South Prairie Road witnessed a vehicle with an illegible rear license plate. A records check revealed the driver possessed four Bonney Lake warrants for failure to transfer title. He was arrested and transported to Puyallup jail.

Residential Burglary: A woman’s vehicle was broken into while it was unattended away from home. Her purse and house keys were stolen and the incident was reported in King County. When she arrived at her Bonney Lake residence, she discovered the thief had ransacked the home. No further information was available at the time of report.

Nov. 30

Emphasis Patrol: An officer on DUI emphasis patrol conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle. The driver agreed to perform field sobriety tests, which she performed poorly on. She was arrested for DUI without incident.

Burglary: A home invasion was reported on 183rd Avenue East. The residence was burglarized while the homeowner was out of town. Many items of value were left undisturbed, causing the owner to believe the incident was performed by juveniles. No suspect information was available.

Dec. 3

DUI: Officers assisted a Kent police commander who conducted a traffic stop in Bonney Lake due to aggressive driving behavior. Upon contact, the driver was determined to be under the influence. He was arrested for DUI and released at the police department, where he waited for a cab to pick him up.
