Enumclaw Library will celebrate ‘Dia!’ April 28

Dia! is a combined el dia de los niños ("the day of the children," or "children's day") and el dia de los libros ("the day of the books," or "book day") held to mark a commitment to literacy in children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds. It was begun by the American Library Association.

The Enumclaw King County Library will celebrate Dia!, the nationally recongized multicultural literacy initiative, beginning April 27.

On Sunday, April 28, the Enumclaw Library will celebrate with snacks and activities at 2 p.m., Spanish story time at 2:30 p.m., and Mexican bingo at 3 p.m. The event will conclude with a library tour and library card drive.
