Enumclaw VFW Post 1949 is holding hold an open house at the Post location at 44426 244th Ave. SE, Enumclaw, on March 16th from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Post will show off the recent renovation of the facility and thank those who contributed to the effort.

In late 2014 the Post embarked on a building improvement project and solicited donations from the community to support the proposed work.

The community’s response was excellent. Donations were received from eight-eight individuals and thirty-two businesses, government, and non-profit organizations.

In addition to cash donations, several in-kind donations were received. To date a total of almost $117,000 has been contributed to the project in cash and in-kind donations.

Completed projects include the installation of a new perimeter drain system, replacement of rotting sill logs and flooring, roof repairs, installation of new furnaces and air-conditioning, complete remodel of the kitchen and new flooring in the main hall; along with many smaller items.

For more information, contact Elbert Reed at 360-825-8482 or email at eor@telisphere.com. Light refreshments will be served.

Light refreshments will be served at the open house.
