Becky Cates, Beverly Jensen, Mary Snyder and Cristal Schumacher were part of Curves of Enumclaw’s special workout Thursday, pushing 11 grocery carts, loaded with more than 2,157 pounds of food, from the women’s

fitness facility on Stevenson Avenue down Cole Street to the Plateau Outreach Ministries food bank. Curves members collected the food during the month of March. Their donations will be doubled thanks to the Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation, which gives away $1 million to fight hunger. Curves owner Sonna Greer said, “Even though it was raining we had fun and the welcome committee at POM was great. I think the most fun was when we started unloading the grocery carts at POM.” The food collection competition was so tight at Curves, the morning workout ladies edged the afternoon group by only 39 pounds of food.
