Fun times in Black Diamond

More than 1,000 children showed up April 9 for the Black Diamond Gun Club's second annual Easter egg hunt. According to organizer Terry Sevon, it was a great turnout. In addition to the thousands of eggs spread across the gun club's Black Diamond lawn, more than 900 prizes were handed out. The event also raised 1,100 food items and $94 for the Enumclaw Food Bank. QFC, Fugate Ford, Tuttle's Gun Shop, Cutter's Supply and the employees of Ernie's Fuel Stop were sponsors. The group also received donations from Jerry Kalamar and Gene Gotting, and last-minute assistance from the Black Diamond Police Department and Cadman Sand and Gravel.
