Gateway Concert Band presents Summer Follies in Sumner

The Gateway Concert Band will present its second concert of the summer season, "Summer Follies," at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Sumner.

The Gateway Concert Band will present its second concert of the summer season, “Summer Follies,” at 7  p.m. Aug. 19 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Sumner.

There is no admission charge, but a $10 donation per person is recommended.

The program is made possible in part by grants from the city of Enumclaw, 4 Culture of King County and the Muckleshoot Charity Fund.

The Gateway Concert Band, directed by Jack Prindle, is based in Enumclaw. Formed in March 1996, members have presented more than 215 performances. The band is open to any interested adult instrumentalist – and competent high school musicians – without audition.

The band rehearses from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays at Enumclaw Middle School.
