It’s the final weekend of summer fun at Allan Yorke Park

A final movie and the Labor of Love Triathlon round out the summer season at AYP.

The summer may be about over, but the fun at Allan Yorke Park isn’t quite done yet.

Tonight, Friday, brings the second and final Friday Night Flicks showing of the season with a showing “Twilight – Eclipse,” the third movie in the teen vampire saga.

Also Friday night before the movie will be a special free live jazz performance by Michael Powers. The concert begins at 7 p.m. with the movie to follow.

Then, this weekend brings the Chamber of Commerce’s “Labor of Love” Triathlon beginning at 7 a.m. Sunday at Allan Yorke Park. The race includes both sprint and Olympic distance categories and promises a swim through Lake Tapps, a bike ride through the back roads of Pierce County farmland and a run in the cascade foothills.
